This that and the other thing. Though there might be more of this than that. And little of the other things. Maybe.

She's Gonna Dream Out Loud

So, like lots of people in the world, I'm in agreement that Knut is very cute. Knut is a polar bear cub that is being directly cared for by humans at the Berlin Zoo. His mother ignored him after giving birth last December. Knut's brother died so the zoo intervened & began bottle feeding Knut. As I see it, Knut is Berlin's Version of Tai Shan in the he's so cute, everyone loves him, lots of publicity for the zoo sense as Mei Xiang (Tai Shan's mom) is very attentive and loving.

If you don't remember who Tai Shan is, for shame!!!!! He's surely the cutest panda bear cub ever to roam the earth! Well, to get photographed at the very least :)

Hockey
Caps lost to the sabres last night. Grrrrrr! Stupid sabres (yes my ire is from the sabres winning not the Caps losing). Canes play Caps at home tonight which means I get to see the Canes play. Wooohoooo! Let's Go Hurricanes!!

Today
Don't forget, it's World Water Day today. Think of ways to conserve water & then take steps to do it. Little things can make a big difference folks.
Comments:
Knut is tremendous. I can't get enough of that li'l bear. You neglected to mention how the so-called animal rights lunatics are saying he should be killed, or he'd be better off dead than raised by the zoo folks.

Stupid animal rights jerks. I hope that someday, some animal that they try to liberate from a zoo or circus bites them and/or tears their arm off. Would serve em right.

I was trying to focus on the positive. There are some ..odd viewpoints out there. Frankly I'm surprised that the people saying to let the cub die even care because animals in zoos are often not thought of as 'real animals' by the most extreme activists. And these people seem extreme to me.

In December the US Fish & Wildlife Service proposed listing the polar bear added as Threatened under the Endangered Species Act. A couple of environmental groups filed suit in February to get the polar bear listed as Endangered. If this federal protection is given, the polar bear will be the first US mammal deemed in danger of extinction due to Global Warming.
