If you're cutting down a bag of chips and can't find a pair of scissors, a knife works well. However, make sure the serrated portion of the blade is pointed away from your fingers. The delay you have from washing and bandaging your finger takes away from the enjoyment of the chips (and dip). Or maybe regular potato chips dipped in queso sauce just isn't that tasty to begin with.
