Answers To Two Life Altering Questions
A quarter of a pound and a third of a pound. The questions, you ask? Read below. They're in order of the answers.
How much Colby jack cheese is just the right amount to eat in one sitting?
and
How much Colby jack cheese is too much to eat in one sitting?
Now, please feel free to shower me with your praise and assorted gifts for finding out the answers. I know that your lives are now significantly more complete than they had been prior to reading this.

Work, U2 and Hockey - But It's Really Just All About Me
I get a work laptop tomorrow morning. Not sure I'm thrilled about that. Are they going to expect me to do more work from home now? And will that computer be as fast as the desktop (or is it floor top?) is now? Ah well. I'll have to wait and see, I guess.
U2
Just purchased my annual birthday gift to myself - subscription to U2's official fan club. They've revamped the site and I'm not sure I'm social (& motivated) enough to learn it. We'll see.
Hockey
Canes lost last night. [insert foul language here] I had to stop watching in the second period as that vile ref mccreary was working. Can't stand that guy and his inconsistent calls. Turns out not much changed after I turned off the tv.
We're currently one point out of the playoffs (can get up to 2 points per win, 1 point for a tie if you end up losing in OT) and one game ahead (meaning we've played one more game than the sabres who are currently in 8th). Did yall really want a random crash course in hockey? I didn't think so.
I did get to see the Canes' plane on Monday. And it was just before or shortly after the players were getting on it. It's unfortunate that their plane is purple and white. Don't they realize purple is the color of k-state?? So very wrong!!

Does the Earth Want a Touch Screen?
The following is, perhaps, my next cell phone. It's called Blue Earth, is made by Samsung out of recycled plastic water bottles and it's solar powered. With a touch screen. Woo!
Samsung has some videos about the Blue Earth cell phone. I didn't find a way to embed them when I glanced at them. Granted I didn't look very hard.
Hockey
I don't want to jinx things so I won't mention that the Canes have won their last three games. They play at the Senators on Tuesday, home against the sabres on Thursday and at the Thrashers on Saturday and then they're off until Tuesday when they're at the caps. Bummer. I was hoping to catch a hockey game for my birthday. Ah well.

A Speedy Recovery to the Albany River Rats
The Albany River Rats were in a bus accident very late Wednesday night. The Rats are the 'farm' team of the Carolina Hurricanes. Thankfully there are no life threatening injuries. Unfortunately four players and one staff member remain in the hospital.
One game has been postponed and, depending on how the players are doing, Sunday's game may be as well. All the players were banged up in some way; concussions, cuts, tweaked muscles, shock, etc. and don't forget the psychological ramifications. Most players were likely sleeping when the bus spun out of control and then rolled. Can you imagine waking up to find yourself flying through the air? That's definitely not something I want to encounter.
For more details and to hear from Coach Daniels, please read
Paul Branecky's blog. Also read the statement from S. Garen Szablewski, the Albany River Rats President & CEO
Let's hope that the Rats recover quickly and that the Canes refrain from more injuries!

Glen Wesley Night at the ESA
Glen Wesley is a former defenseman of the Carolina Hurricanes. His jersey number (2) was retired at last night's game. It was great to be there and witness it. Unfortunately that was the only highlight of the game. Bruins slaughtered us, 5-1.
And yes, I know it's no longer the Entertainment and Sports Arena. I don't care. If they can still use cones that have ESA on them, then I can still call it that.

Bath Drops vs Snow Fluffies
I was going to have a brief entry about the snow flurries this morning. And how they were likely brought in by friends visiting from Boston, but I checked my email and saw the below picture. How could I not post it? Look how seriously cute Matt is.

Yet Another Former Priss Basket
Sorry it's dark. I didn't want to lose the shot by getting my camera, which has a flash. So I used my cell phone, which doesn't have a flash.
