U2 Tour and Birthday Wishes
U2's latest concert tour starts today!!!!!! Granted it's in Europe and my first show isn't until September. I'm still excited about it though!! Hopefully there will be lots of reports about the show. I've been doing my best to not look at any of the pre-show info. Didn't want to be disappointed when something rumored to happen, didn't.

JT's Latest Art Project
On his mom's car...
A close up, to show his unique style.
The artiste signing his work
And, finally, his signature... Err, that is, his artistic signature, not his actual one.

Rest In Peace Michael
I still can't believe Michael Jackson is gone. Ed McMahon wasn't surprising. Nor was Farrah (altho I did think she was getting better). But Michael?!! He was totally unexpected.
There are a lot of 'reports' (ie rumors) out there about his cause of death. Sure, cardiac arrest, but what caused that? I'm waiting for the autopsy reports. Even then, I may not believe them. Conspiracies and all that...
Michael, may you find the serenity that you were looking for in life.

Sunset on I-85
We were just south of Henderson, NC when this picture was snapped. Not too shabby for a camera phone. Especially since the car was moving at the time.

Finally Friday ...
...which means that tomorrow is Saturday. I get to be up, coherent and productive by 0600. Not the best sounding idea for a Saturday, but I'm really looking forward to it. Saturday, June 13th is the day that the NC is having their Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
I'm volunteering again. One of the best days of the year! Even if I have to wear a banana-esque colored t-shirt. It's a small price to pay for such an overwhelming feeling of positivity.

Spiderman: The Trojan Horse
I had an email from U2.com yesterday. It was announcing the upcoming ticket presale for the new Spiderman musical with lyrics and music by The Edge and Bono. I can't say as I'm a fan of Spiderman (in any media type) but I clicked on the link anyway. It's The Edge and Bono, I had to check it out.
Yeah, my anti-virus protection went crazy when the page opened. Alerts started popping up. Trojan Horses found. Things quarantined. Did I mention I was at work? So now I am most definitely on the radar of the IT folks. Yippee.

Stubborn, Toothy, Luna Cat
So the Stanley Cup finals aren't a repeat of last year. Yay for that. Still not overly thrilled about the teams who are vying for the cup. Ah well. Always next year for the Canes to win it again.
The Lunar Child has been in a mood of late. I've got the fresh fang marks to prove it. Maybe it's due to the full moon being last Sunday. Gives her extra strength and mischievousness. Currently she's trying to squeeze her way between the sliding doors of the closet. She's been squirted with water. Repeatedly. Enough that her entire coat is damp. It hasn't stopped her.
Maybe I should change her name to Serenity. Perhaps she would live up to that name like she has to her current one.

One Ocean, One Climate, One Future
World Oceans Day was yesterday (June 8) but I didn't remember/find out until today. Bad ocean lover/conservator, I know. In order to rectify my lack of appropriate posting yesterday, I'm giving today's entry to World Ocean's Day.
I won't even do an Unrelatedly segment about hockey and how, if the Pens lose tonight, it'll be like this season was pointless because the end result was the same as last year, and who (besides cephalopod throwing twerps) really wants that??
This year's World Ocenas Day theme is (was) One Ocean, One Climate, One Future. The Ocean Project and the World Ocean Network have been working together to organize World Oceans Day since 1993. It wasn't until this year that June 8th became the date that the UN recognizes for World Oceans Day. No excuses now if I forget next year!
Check out the Marine Photobank website for pictures from all over the world. You can even enter their Ocean in Focus: Conservation Photography Contest
Become a Citizen of the Ocean
Driving home from dinner last night, sky looked like the Carribean Sea. Various shades of blue and turquoise and teal. It was amazing and beauitful and somehow I managed not to run any lights or hit anything. Helps that there weren't many folks out at 21:00.

Not Quite A List
I had a very productive night last night. I watched 1.5 episodes of Bones, cooked dinner and read a book (fourth in the series).
Tonight there's the season premier of Burn Notice and Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Not sure which I'll watch. Then again, book five is calling my name so I may read that instead.
Or just crash.

12 Hours Is Not Enough
I helped my folks move this weekend. They had a third floor walk up and now have a house. If you're interested, that's 47 stairs. The whole house buying event was a fiasco and makes me never want to buy a house in MD.
Due to the move, I had no internet access on Sunday and Monday. I was not forward thinking enough on Saturday to pre-write and delay the posting of blogs for Monday and Tuesday.
Tuesday I was functioning on almost 4 hours sleep, a 5.5 hour drive, Luna at the vet and some Overflow issues at work. When the Lunacat and I finally got home (went from MD to vet to work to vet to home), I chatted with the roommate a bit and then crashed. I was in bed before 1800 and didn't get up again until 0630. I'm still tired.
Luna's eye is better. Poor girl received vaccines IN her eyes and up her nose yesterday. She goes back in about two weeks to check on her peepers. At least I'm used to having kitties with watery eyes.
Anywho, that's it. My update and explanation for silence this week. I'm thinking I might just have to crash when I get home tonight. This moving thing is highly overrated.
Oh and B, if you still read this, thanks for the pic text. I didn't figure you'd appreciate a response at 0330 when I woke up, checked the time and saw your text and some from the NHL. Kudos to your boys (except for that b@st@rd orpik).
